Slovakia: The PONTIS Non Profit Organization

TechSoup Slovakia is operated by The Pontis Non Profit Organization and was launched in partnership with TechSoup Global in 2009.

The aim of Pontis Non Profit Organization is to provide administrative and organizational services for NGOs and corporate foundations and employing of disadvantaged people and thus help them to realize social responsibility in practice by improvement of their administrative, computer, organizational and communication and other individual work skills.

The Pontis Non Profit Organization arose from the initiative of the Pontis Foundation in 2008. Pontis Foundation is a highly impactful foundation in Slovakia, its mission is to motivate individuals, communities and companies to be responsible for themselves and for the surrounding world through three basic programs – strengthening of the nongovernmental sector, corporate philanthropy and corporate social responsibility and democratization and development abroad.

The Pontis Non Profit Organization is the founding affiliate of the TechSoup Slovakia Program.

Activities:

• organizational and technological support for NGOs
• providing access to modern technology (software, hardware and other IT services)
• employment and social programs for disadvantaged people
• other administrative, accounting and organizational services for NGO and corporate foundations

One of basic aims of Pontis Non Profit Organization is to support local Slovak NGOs and increase their access to modern technology. In cooperation with TechSoup Program, Fundacja TechSoup and TechSoup Global organization The Pontis Non Profit Organization actualizes its vision in very modern, effective and successful way.
