TechSoup Global Welcomes Todd Khozein to its Board of Directors

TechSoup Global is fortunate to have a board of directors matched to our unique mission, as exemplified in our newest member, Todd Khozein.

Among the initiatives Todd has helped to develop are LAUNCH (a collaboration with the U.S. Department of State, NASA, USAID, and Nike), Code4Country (Russian and American programmers united to address transparency in government), and Random Hacks of Kindness (in collaboration with Google, Microsoft, Yahoo!, HP, NASA, and The World Bank).

“Random Hacks of Kindness has become the leader in the rapidly emerging arena of engaging hackers for social change,” says Daniel Ben-Horin, TechSoup Global’s founder and co-CEO. “Todd understands that hackers and social sector organizations have to forge a new kind of partnership if we are to achieve real change. We look forward to his guidance as we try to meaningfully represent the social sector in this dialogue.”

Todd joins TechSoup Global’s other board members — leaders and innovators in technology, nonprofit social enterprise, venture capital, open data, law, and finance:

Joaquin Alvarado, Chief Strategy Officer, Center for Investigative Reporting

Daniel Ben-Horin, Founder and Co-CEO, TechSoup Global

Michael Brown, Director, Corporate Development, Twitter, Inc.

Robert Frank, Managing Director for Japan, Gap, Inc.

Jeffrey Hamaoui, President and Founder, The Cazneau Group

Leila Chirayath Janah, Founder and CEO, Samasource

Reto Jauch, Founding Partner, Jauch Associates AG

Anthony Lee, General Partner, Altos Ventures

Rebecca Masisak, Co-CEO, TechSoup Global

Julie Pietrantoni, Associate, Technology Transactions Practice Group, Cooley, LLP

Michael Saunders, President, Information Organizers, LLC

Buzz Schmidt, Founder and Chair, GuideStar International

Sandra Whisler, Chief Financial Officer, ChangeLab Solutions

This board plays a critical role in leading TechSoup Global as we enter our 25th year.  “We live in a time in which the most challenging problems facing our society and environment are becoming increasingly interlinked, but we also live in a world that has largely organized itself in silos of geography, mission, and core competence” Todd says. “TechSoup Global provides services at the intersection of these silos -- it stands poised to make an essential contribution to both understanding these challenges and playing a critical role in discovering their solutions.”
